In the water in this region of the island, sulfur is being mined, so the water contains large amounts of it. When swimming by the beach, You can see the characteristic turbidity in the water - as if there was something that didn't dissolve completely. Of course, the water is clean and pleasant, though rather cold

Stop 2: Blue Caves

The Blue Caves are one of the most famous attractions in Zakynthos. Located on the northwest coast, between the port of Agios Nikolaos and Cape Skinari, the Blue Caves consist of a series of natural caves and arches ending in the large cave (Megali Spilia) and in the small cave (Mikri Spilia).

Stop 3: St. Andreas

Stop 4: Shipwreck Beach (Navagio)

The most beautiful beach of Zakynthos and one of the six most photographed beaches of all Greece. It consists of millions of small pebbles with the blue shades of the sea as far as the eye can see, it results unique in its gender and the relict looks like if it was made by an artist.

Stop 5: Poseidon's Face

A natural rock formation in which you can easily see the face of the sea god Poseidon.

Stop 6: Korakonisi

Korakonisi is a unique monument to nature! The formation of the rocks create a huge arch that of which exceeds 20 meters, and the arch covers a small secluded bay. The water here is cool and crystal clear with a beautiful seabed. It is surrounded by both the sea and cliffs and is connected to the mainland by one small piece of rock. Climbing up onto the rock of the island you can admire the rocky wilderness.

Stop 7: Plakaki Beach

The sea here is wonderful, it is clear blue while the seabed is ideal for snorkeling, and there are some caves nearby that you should explore. Here you will want to dive into the sea several times and if you stay late you will enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Stop 8: Plakaki Beach

The sea here is wonderful, it is clear blue while the seabed is ideal for snorkeling, and there are some caves nearby that you should explore. Here you will want to dive into the sea several times and if you stay late you will enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Stop 9: Mizithres Beach

The Mizithres, small and big, are two very tall, conical and white rocks in the middle of the sea, located exactly under the lighthouse in Keri. They got their name from a local cheese called Mizithra which is produced in Zakynthos (Zante).

Stop 10: Keri Caves

Keri Caves are a series of spectacular caves located in the southwestern coast of Zakynthos Island and reachable only by excursion or by private boat. The coastal stretch that extends from Kapo Marathia to the Mizithres rocks is called Keri, hence the name of the numerous caves found in this area of Zakynthos Island. Some caves have an entrance wide enough to swim in, in others it is possible to enter directly by boat.

Stop 11: Marathonisi

Marathonisi is not inhabited and keeps its characteristic pine, olive and green oak forests in excellent conditions. It has thick vegetation everywhere and two main beaches with different features. One of them has white sand, while the other has pebbles. The sandy beach is where the sea turtle goes to lay its eggs and that is why Marathonisi is included as part of Zakynthos Marine Park

Stop 12: Cameo Island

The island Cameo island (Agios Sostis) is a little diamond in the Ionian Sea and has a beautiful beach with crystal clear water. This beach is the extension of the big and famous beach of Zakynthos, Laganas.

Stop 13: Turtle spotting

The rare Loggerhead Turtle is what most people come here to see and this is one of the few places in the world where you can be pretty much guaranteed to spot these ancient creatures. This is one of the best things to do in Greece, so it’s no surprise that a lot of tourists (and scientists) come to Turtle Island Zakynthos specifically for these turtles.
